Maple Leaf

Look what Charlene found! I love it! For those of you who don't know, this Maple Leaf represents a tartan for each province in Canada. Nova Scotia is on the right, mostly blue. The center maple leaf is the tartan for Canada.

Thanksgiving

Andrew and his two best pals, Landon Everett and Jake Pugmire. With those three together, LOOK OUT!
Tricia just can't wait to eat...she's starving. Doesn't that sound like a "tween".
Hmmmm, should we show them how it's done?
We still got it.

I have got to keep my eyes on these guys at all times! I wonder who she reminds me of. I've got it...my mother!
Charlene & Aaron helped carve the turkey.

Bryant helped by making a yummy punch!
My pretty table all set and ready for guests. I know it won't stay this way for long... hungry appetites are on the way!

This is what we woke up to on Sunday morning, October 12, 2008. It was hard to believe that we had snow. All Utah skiers are going to be very happy since the ski resorts announced they will be opening early this year. I am not a skier. Most of you who know me well, know that I can't even walk with a garbage can without falling into it, let alone ski down the side of a mountain. But that is another story for another time.

Second Attempt at the Blog....BUT I'm Getting the Hang of It Now!

So, I decided to look at my blog after Charlene got after me last night and decided to "re-train" me on the thing, and I was so excited to see that I actually had three comments. HOW COOL IS THAT! So since I've actually had some interest shown in my life, I've decided that I will give this a serious go around after all. Tomorrow is the yearly celebration of Canadian Thanksgiving dinner (Thanksgiving in Canada is actually on Monday, October 13). But since it is not a holiday in Utah, we will do our part and have our turkey day on Sunday. I will take plenty of pictures of our turkey and post them on my blog as a formal first go of "doing it by myself without Charlene's help". See you tomorrow.
